Falling Face Flat 101

Well that sucked.

I had very high aspirations for this project, yet if one regards the timestamp on the first and only post to precede this one it is easy to see that I did not fulfill my goal of 2017...

Fast-forwarding to the present, I find myself facing the end of yet another calendar year. That is nearly 2 entire years since my last post... and I would like to think that I have learned a lot in that time. One thing that I have come to realize, and this may be obvious to some, is that how we deal with mistakes defines us more than having committed those mistakes initially. I had a goal, missed the mark, then spent quite a bit of time pushing the entire fiasco to the back of my mind.

Yet here we are... and now I ask myself, where do I go from here? Quit?

Nah... I think it would be more interesting if I learned from my mistakes and opted to forge ahead, and forge ahead I shall, because I think I finally figured out the secret to why my past efforts have not built the momentum I sought. I'll expand on that point in a later post because I think there is a good lesson to be shared.

Going forward, as originally proposed in my previous post, I will document my progress towards a goal in a 21 day-span. I will aim for one goal at a time. My starting goal is simple. For the next 21 days I will ensure that I drink 2L of water in a day but ensure that I do not drink any water 3 hours before going to sleep. That is it.

This is day 2. It is a bit early to testify any gains or results, but rest assured those will come. I will also ensure to check-in once a day in the form of a post.
